AMY'S  EXPERIENCE

Amy has been honored to serve as a Judge of the Lucas County Juvenile Court since her election in November 2024. Prior to her election, she served as a Magistrate in the Lucas County Juvenile Court from 2022 to 2024, where she was assigned to the Dependency, Neglect, and Abuse docket. In this role, she presided over some of the court’s most challenging cases involving vulnerable children, always keeping their best interests at the forefront. Entrusted with matters of profound importance, she approached each decision with care, diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility. She also handled private and third-party custody matters, including the allocation of parental rights and responsibilities.

Before her judicial service, Amy spent over 22 years in private practice, representing clients across Ohio and Michigan, including in the United States Bankruptcy Courts. She built a respected practice handling a wide range of matters, including juvenile and domestic relations cases, custody disputes, adoption, divorce, post-decree litigation, and proceedings in Common Pleas and Municipal Courts. She also served as a Guardian ad Litem, appointed by the court to investigate and advocate for the best interests of children.

For more than two decades, Amy was a dedicated member of the Toledo Legal Aid Society, representing indigent clients in criminal matters across Common Pleas, Juvenile, and Municipal Courts. She provided zealous and compassionate representation at every stage of the legal process, from pretrial through trial.

With her extensive legal experience, judicial service, and unwavering commitment to children and families, Amy is exceptionally qualified to continue serving the people of Lucas County Juvenile Court.

DEDICATING HER CAREER TO THE FAMILIES OF LUCAS COUNTY

Born and raised in Lucas County, Amy is a graduate of Central Catholic High School and earned her law degree from the University of Toledo after receiving her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton.

Amy has practiced law for over 24 years in the Toledo area, focusing her career on representing the people and children of Lucas County during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Through this work, she witnessed firsthand the significant impact the Court has on families.

Since her election in November 2024, Amy has been honored to serve as Juvenile Court Judge, where she works every day to ensure a fair, compassionate, and effective court for the families of Lucas County. She is now seeking to retain her seat to continue this important work.
